NLD DTP Code of Conduct
We want everyone to enjoy their time on the DTP programme and feel able to contribute. We expect all students to treat others with dignity and respect and to conduct themselves in a proper and professional manner. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody. All communication, online and in-person, should be appropriate for a professional audience and be considerate of people from different cultural backgrounds.
Be kind to others and do not insult or belittle other students. Contributions should be made to all cohort events, socials and discussions with a constructive and positive approach.
Remember that harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary jokes are not appropriate. Negative or exclusionary comments about any identity will not be tolerated.
Harassment includes but is not limited to offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of discussions, inappropriate physical contact, and unwanted sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
Consequences
If a participant violates the Code of Conduct, the DTP Management Board will investigate and will take action they deem appropriate.
Reporting
Violations of this Code of Conduct can be reported in-person or via email, phone or message to any member of the DTP Management Board or administrative team, or the Management Board may be informed via your primary supervisor if appropriate.
